wasn’t planning to go anywhere…
but then sierly msged me on msn…her host insists that she go out for at least 1 hour! haha…poor girl…
so we went out…and since she hasn’t been to anywhere, brought her to Gastown.
my first time there too…the setting is quite nice…very oldish kind of street and buildings
there’s a famous steam clock there:

see the clock??? it’s actually very small…like 2 times my height…haha

we ate at a nice little restaurant on Water Street…cos it was 3pm and she haven’t had lunch!
looked at some souvenior shops…but didn’t buy anything of course…hehe
after that went to downtown to shop abit…bought a new sleeping pants…lol…it’s so cute with pictures of eyeballs all over it!

stayed at home for most part of the day…cos i only woke up at 1pm! urgh…
eric say wanna go out and eat dinner…i guess eating at home all day can make you go crazy!
we went to Station Square. there’s a small little japanese shop there…
hmmm…realise that so far we always eat japanese food…
but the portion here is like so big man! i always can’t finish the rice
but not finishing it is better lah…if one day i can finish it means…my food intake has gone up!

today i finally made a new female friend!
she’s this indonesian girl from my english class…i know her cos my host picked her up from the airport, so i recognised her name…
after class, she was waiting for her friend so we just sat there and talked for awhile.
she told me that she banked in her bank draft on 8th sep, and the bank told her that she’ll have to wait till 21st oct before she can get her money! and she only brought US$500 here…and she’s like left with 25 bucks to last her till 21st oct…which is like 1 month more…stupid banks here work very slow…

after dinner, went out with etis, penwyn and his girlfriend.
went to richmond to watch movie…my first time watching movie in canada!!!
well…the cinema is like the ones we have in singapore, but bigger
we watched “Flightplan” with jodie foster in it…it was not bad…hehe…do watch it!
saw the trailer for “Memiors of a Geisha”!!! OMG!!! i MUST MUST watch it! coming out in dec i think…so EXCITED!!!
after the movie we drove to surrey to buy doughnuts! haha…cos penwyn’s gf wanted to eat…so went there to buy it…i ate TWO man…omg…can feel the fats oozing out…plus 1 cup of coke…
my plan to eat lesser will never work i think

this is the toilet i share with the housemate next door…it’s quite cool, like ntu hostel, we each have our own basin, and i can put all my stuff on my side…
notice the white cloth in the middle??? my host wants us to clean the table top everytime cos she say the water will spoil the table…argh!
ops can see me in the mirror…lol

the shower and toilet bowl that we share…i brought some toiletries there, but in the end had to get shampoo and conditioner here. cos of the different composition of their water as compared to singapore, your hair will get very stiff, so u need to get the products here that are more moisturizing…
notice the white cloth again??? my host told us to clean the shower screen after EVERY use…cos she say the water will stain the glass…argh freak!
as a result, i think our toilet is squeaking clean man.

so fast…it’s thursday again…
going to handwash my clothes tmr!!! haha…now i get a kick out of washing my clothes…
i think i have what they call cleanliness disorder. i feel icky when i see the laundry basket piling up…then after washing all and the bin is empty, i feel so happy…
just like how i love vacuuming my room every sunday…feels so CLEAN!

anyway, dinner was good today.
she made roti prata! wahaha…can’t believe she knows how to flip the prata…
then got curry and potatos…yummy…
but i really need to control my diet…can feel my fats bulging out everywhere…the first sign of putting on weight.
i don’t wanna go back to singapore and have everyone commenting how much weight i’ve gained!

and this week, think summer is ending liao…the weather is getting colder and colder!
it’s like 12 degrees now…in the morning, i can feel the cold man…definitely need to drink a cup of hot chocolate if not i cannot function properly
even if ALL my room windows closed, i don’t know why still seem to feel the wind coming in…

went to metrotown again today…
that’s like THE place to go for getting whatever u need
bought some more M&Ms…1 more hand towel…4 notebooks and scotchtape(to remove the lint on my clothes!!!)
all this for CAD$9. hehe…is it cheap?!

i’ve been wanting to try A&W’s root beer float since last week, but…it was such a disappointment!
the root beer float is not even in their glass mug, they just put it in a plastic cup. the ice cream is not even the scoop type, she just took one piece out from the freezer and dump it in the root beer…horrible
but their fries is good…or maybe i just miss fries too much
