had dinner at this place in Richmond on Alexandra Road.
some nice stuff served there
although our bowls of rice took a “little” long to come…but generally, i would say that i’d go back again to eat!

some Tom Yum soup for starters…
it actually tasted like a mix between tom yum and laksa soup…but still pretty good

Lemongrass Chicken. not really like the one back in Singapore, but still delicious!

Sambal Long Beans. the sambal wasn’t as spicy, but was really better than i had expected considering that the restaurant owner’s are like HK/China ppl i think

fun times!

snow shoveling…leaf shoveling?
Filed under: in my life — Serene @ 11:37 pm

everyone knows how we need to shovel snow during winter…
u need to get the snow out of your way so u can walk right
how about in fall? when ALL the leaves fall? leaf shoveling is needed too.

although i came in fall last year, i never really noticed how the leaves fall…
only this year, i notice that the leaves REALLY fall in huge amounts man! so much so that the whole road is really just covered by leaves.
today i saw them actually shoveling the leaves. there was this huge mountain high pile of leaves that they had gathered, then they used one of those machine with a scoop to transfer them to a truck to be disposed of (hmm…i wonder wat do they do with the leaves…)
anyways, just an interesting sight, too bad i didn’t dare to take out my handphone for a pic for fear of looking like a swa ku :D

mid-terms *shiver*
Filed under: in my life — Serene @ 1:42 am

shiver for 2 reasons.

firstly, mid-terms in uni is really different. it’s no more like back in college where we can study just the day before and expect the same questions to come out…
right now, it’s all about keeping up with your work ALL the time!!! so i really have to drag my ass further.

secondly, why are exams scheduled at 7-9pm in fall?! getting and finding the exam location is so difficult in the dark, and after the paper, we have to brave the cold to walk to the bus loop where we gotta wait another like 15-20 mins out in the cold before ONE bus comes…and then ALL of us have to pack like sardines onto this one smelly bus.
damn…final exams gonna be worse. i don’t want to go all the way to sch in the cold at night!!!
by the time i get to sch, i can barely write!!!
