as i was going through my application for graduation for this may, i came across something really hilarious!

quoted from the official grad application:

hmmm…how should i spell my name to let a white man pronounce it right?
well actually serene ng is do-able by most white standards, but LI YAN????
i’m thinking “LEE YEN” should come out pretty accurate, suggestions?
