dine out 2010 – cru
cru is another well reputed fine dining restaurant with lots of good comments
most of the dishes we had there were good
I would probably try to go again next year because it’s pretty good value
3 course dinner menu $38

crushed tomato soup
it really tastes like freshly crushed tomatoes *duh*

caesar salad
that’s definitely the biggest bread crumbs I have ever seen and lots of cheese!

beef tenderloin carpaccio
I didn’t try this since I’m not a fan of raw beef

pan seared bc ling cod
the little balls under the fish were dumplings! kind of weird, I don’t know what’s in the fillings, the fish was well cooked and very fresh
the broth was too salty though

roasted lamb loin

crispy skin free range organic chicken breast

warm dark chocolate and hazelnut brownie
the scoop beside the brownie isn’t ice cream, it’s some sort of peanut butter thing, goes well with the brownie but gets a bit sick if u have more, much rather have ice cream to go with my brownie!!!

vanilla bean creme brûlée

dine out 2010 – bistro 101 culinary art school
I’ve heard good things about bistro 101, prices are very affordable and food isn’t that bad, tried and tested
this 3 course lunch menu was only $15

red bell pepper soup

some type of Australian fish with fried ginger and carrot on top

chocolate tart with strawberry ice cream
I think they made the ice cream themselves, tasted like real berries
